bear hunting next week

hows it going things are good here it seems
like things are goin good at the home stead
im trying to take as many pics as i can but
its hard but i will probably send them home
in a few weeks so everythings good here we
had a babtism last sat that went really well
and now we have a few more coming up but the
latest is we just set up to teach a guy from
india english lessons so that should be
interesting we will probably just read out of
the kids book of mormon or something but they
try to feed us crazy food when we go over there
so that kind of sucks but things are awesome we
have been doin quite a bit of service with chad
like puttin up fences and stuff we are not going
on the bear hunt tell next week it opens the
first i believe and were going that next wednesday
so hopefully we will be able to get one but i will
definitely take pictures of that and probably video
too so its been awesome in st johns i dont want
to go down to the valley so hopefully that wont
happen for a while but i love you

Hibben caught a Hoowney tooad!

"I CAUGHT A HOOOWNEEY TOOAAD"!!

When Britton was about 5 years old we were in St. Gorge and caught a horny toad. He was so excited he started jumping up and down and yelling, in his funny hoarse voice. We have it on video and it is soooo cute! Come by and I will show it to you. I wonder if he yelled when he caught these ones? At least he can pronounce his "r's" now!!

email #2

Garr sends almost everyone an email, here's what he wrote chris:
st johns is incredible as always this week is set to be
a good one we have a bunch ofdifferent celebrations
this week theres a huge bonfire, a pancake breakfast,
a steak dinner, a bean and cornbread
dinner, there are 3 rodeos we are going to 2 of them
and so its just going to be a huge fun celebration so
im excited. the work is really going good we have a
babtism this week her name is jade cummings, fielding
taught her in the valley then she moved up here this
summer with her grandma so we taught and are babtizing
her saturday so that should go really good. then were
teaching a girl who is 18 she is E K's niece ek is one
of the coolest guys he's a recent convert and
for the most part he's an awesome member but still
smokes so were trying to get him to quit so he can
babtize her but he's stubborn so we got to keep workin
that one then were babtizing another 18 yr old name
randy brooke who has already had the lesson but his
mom is anti and told him he cant get babtized
tell he's 18 so were reviewing the lesson with him
and babtizing him right before he goes off to school.
then were teaching a 9 year old indian girl this one
is a little tougher cuz they have a hard time coming
to chuch and the steak pres said they have to come 8
weeks in a row so we will see if we can get
them babtized this transfer but it will be tough
those crazy indian you never know what theyre up too
and we also just started teaching a guy from puerto
rico who is really religous and already believes in
the book of morman and has been coming to church for
a couple of weeks so hopfully we can babtize him before
he leaves off the page next month so thats about all
the people we are teaching its going really
well and its all because the members are so amazing.
all the missionary work comes from the members here
we get so many refferrels and we have some of the
neatest people were we havethe lesson at their house
like the lee's and the rabans they are just incredible
they are so missionary minded and it their whole
families even theyre kids so its just been awesome
i love my mission and if i could ask anything of you
guys try to help the missionarys in are area all you
can because it makes such a difference when the
members are reliable and really care about missionary
work so if you ever see the missionaries around talk
to them but i love you guys

24th of july - bear hunting - phil doens't think you are supposed to hunt on your mission

well im doing pretty good and it seems like everyone is doing good back home. i think my pres is really cool i really like him. we cover 5 wards and 2 of the wards suck at feeding us but its fine because we get fed most the time anyway so cant complain i do miss home made ice cream but its ok this week is the 24th festivities that we get to go to like 2 rodeos and a bunch of dinners and stuff and theres going to be home made ice cream so we will see how that tastes. but yeah you can send me some more music most of it isnt approved that you send me and my comp is pretty strict and wont let me listen to it but keep sendin it cuz you never know. the video camera is also cool it is tuff to video though and and i have been so busy lately because of the transfer. it was really really tough at fist because i didnt want e. fielding to go i didnt feel ready and then he did and so it threw into change where i had to take over and i didnt know what to do so it took me a little while but everything is under controll now we have a babtism saturday she's 12 so thats cool and we have a few more coming up so the works really going good and were trying to make it even better we dont have anything really fun for this p day but next week were going to the temple then were going out with chad new and going bear hunting so that will be freakin awesome so i love the area of st johns i cant complain im glad to hear about my plack haha i just picked a pretty random scipture but i hope everything is all well this week so i love you all
