fun news...

I got fun news yesterday from one of our friends living in Arizona:

So I saw your brother Garr at a baptism tonight in our ward. My husband is a ward mission leader. I saw him and his comp on the back row and I just kept looking at him thinking he looks really really familiar, like a Knaphus. I had no idea he was down here! He's not assigned to our stake but their apartment is only 3 miles away. Small world. You guys should come down and visit sometime you always have a place to stay!

well hello. how is everyone doing this week. things are goin here in
sunny az.that is awesome that father is down here in tempe hopefully
the temple meeting goes really well that would be cool i would
probably come down and work on the temple and that would be cool
if he meets my pres. he is a cool really nice guy he is a little
intimidating but i likehim and dad would enjoy talking to him cuz he
was a land developer and buyer for temple and church ground all over
the world including the Philippines and russia and all sorts of places i
think they would like eachother. it seems like mub and logan and the
boys are all having a fun time with softball hittin the fence and all.
and blastin musclehawk you will have to send me a cd of it or a
sample or something cuz i desperately need new cds i believe i
haved asked before they just need to be chill doesnt matter
who they are just as long as they have no swearing or sexual content
which i guess is hard to find but i can get them approved pretty easy
so i would appreciate that. but that kinda sucks that the jazz are
playin the lakers hopefully they can pull it off that would be crazy
but things are all well herethe last 2 days it been 100 and today i
ts nice and overcast probably 90 and were going to play soccer
again so.. but the work is going well the brady boys are doing great
their babtism is the 25 and theyre super excited and and and then
David Greene is doing great as well his babtism is the 2 of may and
Sarah Layman didnt come to church so we have to push her babtism
back a week so it wont be this transfer but we got her some really
good fellowship and that is key so she will make it to church and
have friends to help her out but other than that we are working
with a 24 yr old guy but his g pa just passed away in cali and is
down there but he's reading the book of Mormon so thats awesome
and we are setting up with some other peeps to have some new
investagators by the end of the week so things are still going strong
there is only 2 weeks left in the transfer today its gone by
fast and i will most likely get transferred and that would be
amazing if it was back up into the mountain,escape the fate of
the heat but i dont really care i just think a new area would be
cool there are a lot of cool areas in the mission i am thinking i
will probably go to queen creek though and its really good
down there but you never know what ever happens but
i did get around for making the cake. it was good but not as
good as moms i used not so good whipping cream and i think
i cooked the cake too long but still was good and i love all
my presents thank you all again but i think that is all i have
to say today i hope everyone has a good week and has fun i

hello everybody. how is it going
this week. things are great here in az. 
but it seems like the boys are having
fun with softball man i miss it we have
been playing soccer for p days recently
and that has been way fun.  but who is
all on the softball team this year. 
and that is crazy taht trent got hit by
a tornado but thats good it wasnt too bad
my comp says there are tornadoes all the
time were he's from and they kill peeps
and stuff.  and it sounds like mother is
having a fantastic time over in europe. not
a whole lot is new here my birthday and easter
was awesome thank you guys so much for
the packages and gifts i got spoiled again. 
couldnt ask for more and make sure to
tell dallas thanks for the head band that is
awesome i have been waiting for one of those
forever.  but thanks to you all i havnt
made the cake yet cuz we dont have a pan but
im borrowing one today to make it so that
should be fun.  but the easter pageant was
really neat we only made it out once so
that was a bummer but better luck next year.
we didnt do much for easter had dinner
with an older couple. the bradys are still
awesome and dave greene is a stud and sarahs
date was bumped back a week but she is doing
really good and we are finding new peeps all
the time working super hard so its been a
good transfer. the only stories for the
week the other night we were riding home
and some guys driving by shot us with a
paintball gun but  only my bike got hit so
that was a little irritating.  then some
lady pulled us over cuz she had just
been assalted by her boy friend so she
used are phone to call 911 it was funny to
listen to her call and sobb to the cops
not much else this week we had interviews
with pres yesterday and i think i finally
might get to see a new area but im not
sure but the work is going well and time
is flying but thanks for everything and

birthday boy

hello, how is everyone doing. and its
good to hear that everyone enjoyed
conference i enjoyed conference a lot
as well we just go to the stake center
and watch it there. we get to watch all of
it.  but this last week we have been pretty
busy doing quite a bit of teaching and
gettin all of our peeps ready for babtizing. 
david greene is a stud he's getting babtized
may 2nd and he set a goal to stop chew last
sun and it has been way easy for him he
started watching conference saturday morning
and hasnt taken the tv station off byu tv
since so that is cool him and his wife just
went to the visitors center and the church
library and are gettin their geneology started
too and he wants to come out and do missionary
work with us too so he's awesome.  and the brady
boys are still doing great we took them to the
easter pageant that was neat and had a lesson
with them last night and they invited 2 of their
friends and one of their friends is gettin
babtized christian but he said once he turns
18 he's going to get babtized mormon cuz ryan
and jeffrey said only the mormon babtisms count. 
but they didnt do anything too funny this week
jeffrey just said how much he likes shakin my
hand cuz i have big strong chubby hands.  but
then there is sarah layman and she is doing good
we had a lesson at a really good members house
and sarah promised to come to church and she's
excited about getting babtized the 25 but she
has to come to church 3 times in a row or its
not going to happen so hopefully she will come. 
but we are finding new people every week and
gettin em ready for babtism so its
all good.  but for the funny story of the week. 
i was talking to some people on the sidewalk
and i invited them to the easter pageant to some
see a play about jesus christ and his erection
instead of saying ressurection so that was
hilarious the people didnt even notice but it
made me laugh a little bit. but the work is
going great i did receive the packages the easter
candy is delicious and im excited to
open my birthday package! im having my birthday
dinner and cake and stuff over at the boutchyards
theyre awesome we babtized him a few transfers
ago and he's doing great but things are all
good we are working hard it was funny my comp
is you know one of those air force kids thinks
he's tom cruise and it was funny
he cut his own hair and its way too short and
this guy we talked too was drunk and he said
my comp looked just like a little lighter
skinned obama and its true its funny i will
have to get a picture but he's a hard
worker so its been good. but the mission is
awesome still love it but hope everyone has a
good week and enjoys my birthday!
