Keepin' it below 100
hello everyone how is everyone doing this fine Wednesday. things are great here in Tempe. It is good to hear that you guys had a fun time in Yellowstone. I did listen to Enya for you guys and it obviously payed off, you even saw grizzly bears. That must have been super cool. that is good that the boys even got in some hacky sack action i havent played much of that at all but.. That is fun that the campbells stayed with max and had lots of fun, i miss him too. That is funny that Tammy worried about him, she is hilarious. Alot of people are gone away from campus for hte summer, but they will come back soon. Things are still going strong. and the heat this week hasn't been too bad, it dropped down to the low 80 s for a few days and now its back up to the high 90s, as long as it stays below 100 I'm happy, it will probably be above tomorrow, but what can you do. Things have been really good work wise, we have a baptism this Saturday for a gentleman named Alan, so that is cool, and to top that day off Elder Richard G Scott, the apostle, is coming to speak to the mission for 3 hours, so that will be awesome, He comes this Friday to speak to the University Stake and we get to go cuz we have a university ward so we get to see him twice, I'm lookin forward to it. We are staying really busy teaching quite a few people, We have been teaching a lot of black people and a lot from India so it has been pretty cool. The peeps from India are super nice and accepting , but not committal, but things are looking really good for next transfer we should be able to get 5 baptisms. I finally got the package. everything is awesome the Jersey is way cool and the candy is delicious i cant thank you enough, I dont know if you guys sent the package with shampoo and stuff in it yet, but i need some contact solution, i ran out this morning so I was just going to buy a big bottle but it cost like 10 dollars so I just bought a cheap little one, so if you get a bottle or 2 of that stuff I would highly appreciate it. We went to the Temple today that was fun. I hadn't been for a while I enjoyed it. We talked to quite a few funny people this week, there are a lot of crazies here. This drunk guy invited us in his house and he was listening to Fleetwood Mac way loud, it was awesome but he was like crying and yelling to us how he loves Jesus so much while he was drinking and smoking. We gave him a book of mormon so i think it was a success. Things have been good I really enjoy it here. It will be awesome to see Matt Chase and the Youngs definitely tell them to give me a call maybe even a lilttle bit in advace like a day or something so we can set up a time to go eat pizza. that would be awesome. Well, I think thats about all I have to write for now, It;s nice hearing from everyone I appreciat the support and have a great week.

Gettin to know the new area
well how is everyone doing it was fun to talk to you all the other day. i don't have much new to say i guess. but it seems like Mandy and Fill just had too much fun in Jamaica. thats funny that Fill was giving away his clothes but cool that you guys talked to a lot of peeps about the church. this Saturday we are baptizing a 19 yr old girl, she is really cool. she is moving back to Mississippi right after the baptism. maybe she will run across Trent, but i dont think she lives in his
mission. we are teaching a few pretty solid people there is Allen, he is marrying his girlfriend soon and gettin baptized right after, that is the 30th, he is a pretty good guy i have only taught him once. and then there is a cool story of a man named Ramiro that stopped us 2 nights ago and said hey this is my address come by tomorrow, which was yesterday, and so we did and he was a super humble man who knows a little bit about the church and he wants to get baptized, so we have aother lesson with him tonight, hopefully everything goes well there. his family is really stong catholic but he is going against it so it might be a struggle with them. we are also workin with a kid who is really cool. he was on date for the 23 but had to move it back cuz he got invited to a baby shower so thats pretty weak and the baptism wont even count for us, he goes to a different ward, he just didnt like the missionaries over there. we are working with a lot of people but everyone is crazy busy around here a lot of the appointments fall through and its hard to catch people home but once we get things going its going to take off. we had a sweet lesson yesterday; we had an appointment cancel, so we walked over to campus and we talked to this dude and he was way open, so we taught him the whole first lesson in the heart of campus and he is going to read the Book of Mormon and all, so thats pretty cool hopefully he calls us back. but there is a lot of work to be done here im excited today i think we are playing some more soccer but we're going to do some thrift shoppin too, so that will be fun. everything is going great im excited for those packages its good to hear from you all have a great week.

Cinco de Mayo TEMPE!!!!! ASU!!!
well how is everyone doin ? I am fantastic! I guess to get things cleared up, right of the bat, I got transferred finally! Left Skyline after 9 months not 6 dad. And I got transferred to Tempe on the ASU campus so that is way cool. I have a car a Toyota Corolla so that’s sick wit it.
I don’t remember my comps name, haha, but he has only been out 6 weeks, seems like a stud, he is really tall. He’s from Idaho Falls, that’s about all I know about him. It seems like things are going super good in this new area. we cover 2 wards, one is a singles ward and one is a family ward and we have 5 people on date for baptism, so there is a ton of work. And I’m lookin forward to serving here. but it was also sad to leave my last area, I was there super long but there was a lot of work there as well. The baptism last week for David Green was awesome it went really good. the Brady boys are doing really good they were super sad when I left they wanted to come with and be missionaries or just move wherever I go but we will definitely have to visit them. they’re funny Jeffery is in the talent show today I wanted to go but I think they’re going to email me a video of it, he's singing. but, everything else was going great in that area we picked up 2 really promising investigators one of them was marrying a less active member and we met with him and he sais he believes everything after the first lesson and wants to be baptized, so that was way cool. and the other was a lady and she is really open and interested and her son is too, but her husband isn’t, so that was kinda the hang up, but im sure they will get baptized. in the old area there was a pretty cool story there was this kid who we were trying to teach but could never get a hold of him and the other night we showed up and his door was open and his grandma hurried us in and he had just burnt himself really bad from the propane on the grill so we gave him a blessing then he went to the hospital and we set a lesson up, so that was cool how it all worked out, and he said the pain went away after the blessing so it was cool. and we also put Sarah Layman on date for baptism for the 16th so that is super cool she came to church 2 weeks in a row and she isn’t shy anymore and is enjoying it. she was pretty sad when I left too, but it will be cool to go back to her baptism. but other than that i think that is about all that is new. im excited about my new area. It seem like everyone is having fun back home thats awesome Logan hit a home run and his car broke down that’s funny. It seems like Mandy and Fill are having an awesome time in Jamaica and I cant believe that Mandy is even
Contemplating going snorkeling . it seems like everyone is having a grand old time even matt chase is home. that makes me happy and that is sweet that he is coming down to az he will definitely have to pay me a visit we will go to In n Out or something there is one real close I believe but i dont know my address or phone number or anything but just let me know when exactly he'll be coming down and we will get it all worked out. He could even give the mission pres a call he would be cool with it. And that’s also cool that matt chase and riley spoke on the same day that would have been a treat. but i think that is about all i have for this week oh it will be awesome to be able to talk to you guys Sunday. by then I will be a little more settled and stuff. I will know whats up but everything seems great it was awesome hearin from everyone once again and have an amazing week!! love elder knaphus

The Brady Boys are Baptized
Hello everybody. How is it going in Utah? Things are still great here in AZ. It has been a good week. I’m glad mom is happy to be home in her own bed. My bed is not bad and I have my bangles blanket. That is cool that dad got to see the mission office and stuff, I saw the Pres at a baptism on Sunday. It was one of the people my comp taught in Gilbert, so we took a vacation over there and talked to President. he said he talked to dad and everything. it was cool to meet Mandy’s friend she was super nice just talked for a little bit but her husband gave us a ride home and he said he is good friends with Matt Taylor and Jason Dunnigan and stuff so that was cool. One of the ladies who is fellow-shipping this girl we are teaching, who we just put back on date for baptism, is way pregnant. It’s pretty funny she can’t move at all. That is also fun that you are tending those cute Petersen kids I miss them so much. Tell them I say hi. But it seems like everyone else is having fun; the boys with softball, that’s funny that Logan broke his knee brace, but good that he wears it. my knee is doing good it hasn’t come out of place once, it rarely hurts, just sometimes when I ride my bike but it goes away. And speaking of bikes, mine is gay, I took it to REI yesterday and they are fixing it and it’s going to cost me like 60 bucks because they say I could have prevented the damage and I got it fixed at a different store, but what can you do I guess. It should solve all problems and it shouldn’t break again. I’m so jealous still of Mandy and Fill going to Jamaica. The Brady boys had an awesome baptism last Saturday everything worked out great and we have a dinner lesson with them tonight. Then we are baptizing David Greene this Saturday and he is doing really good; quit chewing and drinking and all, so he's a stud. and we have picked up some really promising people the last few days who seem pretty interested so that’s awesome. But not a whole lot crazy or new has happened. This is the last week of the transfer already. it has gone by super fast again, and I most likely will be leaving, so if you’re going to send me anything you better do it quick and I will give you my new address ASAP. But it’s good to hear from you all have a good week and love you all.
